Now that we are dealing with the outbreak of COVID-19, we are all trying to safely shop. But many senior citizens (who are the most at-risk group of people) don’t want to be in a store with lots of people. Also as people are “panic buying” some seniors are finding empty shelves when they get to the store.
So to combat that, several stores in our area are providing “elder hours” where only seniors can shop a fully stocked store.
Here is the list of stores that we’ve found offering ”elder hours” in our area with the hours designated for seniors to shop. We have created links to the stores to help you find the ones closest to you.
- Stop & Shop: 6am-7:30am
- Dollar General: First hour that the store is open
- Target: First hour that the store is open
- Whole Foods: First hour that the store is open
- Acme: 7am-9am
- ShopRite: 6am-7am
- Kings: 7am-8:30am
- Aldi: Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30am-9:30am
