Clever Ways to Dye Easter Eggs Naturally

You could buy the packets from CVS and get it done…….OR….you could do something really special.

Here are some creative ways to dye Easter Eggs using natural dyes:

  • easter eggsRed – strawberries, cherries, red onion skins, apple peels,m red wine, beets, pomegranites
  • Yellow – onion skins, lemon peels
  • Blue – blueberries
  • Purple – blackberries, grape juice, violet blossoms, red cabbage leaves
  • Green – spinach
  • Orange – orange peels, carrots, cumin, turmeric, paprika
  • Brown – coffee

Add a little vinegar to each solution to help the dye stick to the eggs. Vary the amount of time you let the eggs soak to get a variety of colors. Afterward, rub your eggs with a little vegetable oil to give them a shine.
